Washington County is a county located in the U.S. state of Utah. Washington County is included in the St. George, Utah, Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of 2000, the county's population was 90,354 and by 2009 the U.S. Census Bureau estimated it to be 137,589. Its county seat and largest city is St. George, Utah. The county was named for the first President of the United States, George Washington.
